SCO / Kuusisto / Dreamers’ Circus
When performing on their own, Dreamers’ Circus were always fascinating, Busk playing accordion as much as the Steinway, Rune Tonsgaard Sorenson the violin soloist of the night, and cittern-player Ale Carr, who played with Kuusisto and the SCO in a similar excursion on Vivaldi’s Four Seasons two years ago, doubling on fiddle himself.
Beethoven, Pekka & Dreamers’ Circus
As the show begins and the three major components, Pekka Kuusisto, Dreamers’ Circus and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, take their place, Kuusisto jokes about a rushed rehearsal time and remarks “Chances are it is going to work quite well”… A prediction that is certainly realised by the end of the work. From the start we are treated to a relaxed tone, with no pretension or hierarchy. This is simply a night of talented musicians celebrating music that they love.

Open Call: Sparring Sessions
For the third time, Dreamers’ Circus opens a mentoring programme in collaboration with TEMPI, offering two Danish bands or solo artists within the roots genres the opportunity to take part in a focused sparring process in 2026. The programme includes three in-depth sessions with members of Dreamers’ Circus, tailored to each project’s artistic and professional goals.
Folkets Festival 2026 – en fejring af ny nordisk folkemusik
Dreamers’ Circus inviterer i samarbejde med VEGA til anden udgave af Folkets Festival den 16.-17. januar 2026. Over to dage forvandles hele VEGA til et levende mødested for ny nordisk folkemusik med koncerter, dans, fællesskab og musikalske møder på tværs af generationer og traditioner.
4 singles 2025
In 2025 we’re releasing four new singles. Two are already out: Vallivan (a collaboration with Floating Sofa Quartet) and Mandø, featuring traditional tunes from the Danish island of the same name. Third single, And The Devil Knows What, is released on September 19th 2025.
Juleturné med Charlotte Munck – Legenden om Juleroserne
Når mørket ligger tungt over Norden, søger vi lys, fortælling og fællesskab. I denne stemningsfulde julekoncert inviterer Dreamers’ Circus og skuespiller Charlotte Munck publikum ind i en sanselig fortolkning af Selma Lagerlöfs klassiske fortælling Legenden om Juleroserne.
Folkets Festival 2026 fejrer folkemusikken på VEGA: Her er de første navne
Folkets Festival vender tilbage til VEGA lørdag den 17. januar 2026 – kurateret af Dreamers’ Circus. Festivalen er spækket med nordiske stjerneskud og stærke traditioner. Oplev bl.a. Teitur, Maija Kauhanen, Ánnámáret og en særlig udgave af Alehouse Sessions. Hele huset fyldes med musik, dans, fællessang og jam i ægte folkelig ånd.
Energiens Puls – Dreamers’ Circus på Danmarksturné
In autumn 2025, Dreamers’ Circus embarks on their most extensive Danish tour to date. Energiens Puls (The Pulse of Energy) is a new, thematic concert experience exploring energy in all its forms – from the faintest spark to explosive bursts, flowing currents, and moments of reflection. With their signature blend of folk, classical, and contemporary influences, the trio invites audiences into a world where music becomes movement, resonance, and transformation.

2024 Dance shOW ANNOUNCED
Dreamers' Circus is partnering up with Aaben Dans to create a music and dance show in Roskilde based on the Faroese writer William Heinesen's novel "The Lost Musicians". The show will premier in September 2024.
Dreamers’ Circus US SPRING Tour 2023
Dreamers' Circus, performing original Nordic folk music, returns to the U.S. for a six-city winter tour, February 24 to March 5, with stops in Boston, Orono (ME), New York City, Detroit, San Francisco and Portland (OR).
